I paint using the forms of nature as symbols for expression:
pathways, clouds, mountains, sunlight and shadows, flowers,
trees, and flowing streams. I also collect titles from
everything from rock music to hymns, sermons, movies,
conversations, and TV; and then paint inspired by both the words
and the music. The paintings are a record of my journey, the
expression of my deepest feelings for family and friends, and
they tell my philosophy: “Choose a Path With Heart,” Live Your
Dreams,” and “Love Conquers All!” . Judy Bynum George |
North Georgia Impressionist painter Judy Bynum George resides in Helen, Georgia. Judy has synthesized her musical and artistic talents into a rich and multi-faceted career, including art instruction at the college level, professional painting, and managing her own gallery in Cleveland, GA. George's other projects include paintings based on “mountaintop experiences” from the local Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountain ranges, as well as the National Forests of Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Thickly-applied mountains of color express enthusiasm for her subject while conveying a message of encouragement for fellow travelers. Over the past thirty years her paintings have become a part of numerous private and corporate collections throughout the Southeastern United States. George’s Impressionist landscapes have become recognizable for their identifiable brushstrokes, rich color, and playful and inspirational titles.
